To Protect Your Privacy in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5

We suggest that you read this once to get a general sense of the steps before you go through the site. This will serve as a reminder for you to Clear History before you leave the site.

Description of the general steps

1. Clear History (Tools, Internet Options, General, Clear History, Confirm) to delete the record of where you have been.
2. Delete Temporary Internet Files (Tools, Internet Options, General, Temporary Internet Files, Delete Files, Confirm) to delete the location of the websites that you visited.

This is the last thing to do before you get off the Web.

CLEAR HISTORY

From the "Tools" pull-down menu, pick "Internet Options" and select the "General" tab.

Click the "Clear History" button.

Confirm that you want your history deleted.

DELETE TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES

From the "Internet Options" menu ("General" tab), in the Temporary Internet Files section, click "Delete Files" button.

When prompted, check the "Delete all offline content" box, then press "OK" button to confirm.

Press "OK" button to exit "Internet Options" screen.

All of the Internet files stored on your computer are now gone. You can close Internet Explorer and sign off.
