Police Service Dial-A-Law: Pre-recorded legal information messages available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Lawyer Referral Service (operated by the Law Society of Alberta): Provides assistance to people who can afford
to pay a lawyer but require help finding one.
Legal Aid Society: Provides legal services to financially
eligible applicants. Office of the Ombudsman: Conducts impartial investigations
on receipt of written complaints from individuals who believe that they
have been unfairly treated by the provincial government. There are only
two offices in Alberta. Office of the Public Guardian: May be appointed legal guardian
